Vests ( USAF /USN )
Aeromiltec CSU-17/P is a
U.S. Air Force PP & G Vest is garment worn by
fighter aircraft pilots to
counteract positive chest G forces. It is a
wraparound garment with an internal
inflatable bladder which
compresses the chest of the wearer during G induced flying
maneuvers. The Anti G Vest consists of a Nomex aramid cloth
outer shell which
houses a bladder. The bladder system is
constructed of polyurethane coated
nylon and covers the pilot's chest .
The CSU-17/P PP & B
Vest is interfaced with the anti g suit

The system contains five
major components : the Combat Edge Helmet ,
Oxygen mask , PP & B Vest ,
oxygen manifold & the anti g suit.
Together these help the
pilot efficiently perform up to 9 G positive. The
helmet is of the type HGU-55CEwhich
contains a pressurised bladder.
This provides tensioning of the mask MBU-23/Pat
the onset of high G
manoeuvers during tight combat maneuvers.
The helmet HGU-55CE is a
Kevlar light weight with close fitting
shell & a wider frontal
opening for better peripheral vision
during high G maneuvers. The Combat Edge
oxygen mask
MBU-23/P gives pressurised breathing that switches in at
a pre determined G loads starting + 3.
The Torso Harness
PCU-16/P or PCU-15/P retains it’s
original fittings . Underneath is a
Nomex flight suit
MIL-C-83141A & Nomex gloves GS/FRP-2 . Also included on
