HGU-55 CE  (Combat Edge )

                                            HGU-55 CE

Designed as a cutting edge wearer protective system, the GENTEX HGU-55CE and   HHGU-55/ helmets are available in two configurations to suit a full range of High-G mission needs.

The lightweight standard versions are constructed of a Graphite/Aramid shell which reduces head-borne weight while maintaining strength. For high-performance maneuvers up to +9 Gs and to help prevent G-induced loss of consciousness (GLOC), the Gentex HGU-55CE  lightweight aircrew helmet is the standard USAF and for some FMS users .

This technologically advanced system provides pilots with a decisive edge in combat by reducing fatigue, so they may perform more high-G missions per day without compromising performance.  In addition we supply helmet parts and accessories .

The HGU-55CE is standard supplied with Gentex MBU-23/P Oxygen Mask equipped with PADD( Passive Anti Drowning Device ) along with two visors one of which anti laser . The helmet ,mask , visors and PADD requires  US Export License all at one or separetely .

Thehelmet is supplied only in color grey in Medium and Large sizes only . Also available along with this helmet also ANVIS-9and NVG

Edge Roll

A soft leather edge rollcovers an open cell foam core around the entire periphery of the shell for a comfortable fit, and reduces the amount of noise that enters the helmet. Visor buffers and bump stops are cemented to the shell to provide for stowing of the visor and to protect the shell surface during visor operation.
HGU-55/P CONVERSION KIT

 CONVERSION KIT

A Combat Edge field-modification bladder kit is an option offered by Gentex to integrate theHGU-55/P with the crew Combat Edge pressure breathing for G system (PP&G), which is used to reduce the probability of G-induced loss of consciousness (GLOC) during high performance flight.

It utilizes a urethane-coated nylon bladder installed between the Memory Liner or XLiner and the energy-absorbing liner in the rear of the helmet.

A PBG feed tube connects the bladder to the unit's quick-disconnect mounted on the exterior shell of the helmet and interfaces with the PBG supply hose and connector from theMBU-20/PorMBU-23/P Oxygen Masks. The bladder inflates to provide automatic mask tensioning at high G.The HGU-55CE is available only on limited basis .
